McCrory Center: Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm
A new 12,000
sf single-story office building to house the administrative functions of the
nursing home management which is the vocational expression of the Carmelite
Order. The Carmelites staff and manage twenty three nursing homes in nine
states and Ireland.
The site of this new facility is a “greenfield” on the grounds of the
Motherhouse of the Order. The construction is wood-framed on a concrete
foundation with traditional “residential” detailing to best fit the
landscape and region. The building contains Offices, Conference and
Meeting Rooms, File and Archive areas and other related support spaces. The
work was started in September, 2009 with completion anticipated by August,
2010.
