General Construction

Considered the traditional "bidding" method of attaining and carrying out a commercial construction project. In General Construction, or GC, the Owner retains an Architect and/or licensed Engineer to develop plans and specifications. These Construction Documents, or CDs, are then distributed to a select number of qualifying General Contractors for the purposes of competitive bidding. Once a General Contractor's "low bid" has been accepted by both Owner and Architect/Engineer, it then becomes that GC's responsibility to complete the project from start to close-out as directed by the terms defined within an industry-accepted contract.
